I’ve known I wanted to make a Minion Lunch for a while. This actually came out different then I had planned. I was going to make two smaller minions, but when I cut the crust off the bread, it was so close to Minion shaped, I decided to try for one big one instead.
I think my favorite part is how simple it really is. I only used circle cutters, scissors and a kitchen knife.
To make the curved head shape I took my biggest circle cutter and put it on the bread upside down, then used the curve as a template to cut the top of the head with the kitchen knife. Nori was cut with scissors, and the eye and mouth, more circle cutters. Everything is ‘glued’ on with peanut butter.
I made the Minion picks using stickers and yellow plastic cocktail picks.
This is my first time using the new Planetbox Shuttle. I like it’s compact size, and it’s deceptively deep. under the minion sandwich I have two slices of cheese and a layer of goldfish crackers.
Here’s a tip. When making sandwiches with designs. Cheese in particular. I place a small piece of parchment paper on top to keep the cheese from sticking to the lid.
