Kids Zebra Bento School Lunch

Welcome Zoo Hop hoppers.

I chose to do a Zebra for my Zoo Hop bento.  I’m not sure why, I already have ideas for monkeys, penguins and owls etc.  But I chose Zebra.  Probably because I like Zebras.

I really like how it came out. Everything is painted on using black gel food colors.  We’ve got a Zebra striped piece of cheese concealing some apple slices.  And zebra striped Wheat Thins (only the top few are painted) I really like how these turned out.  And of course the Zebra PB&J.

I really should give props to a couple of people.  Everything I know about painting zebra stripes I learned from Sweet Sugarbell.  And I’m absolutely in love with the image transfer technique I learned from Karen at Whats In Our Lunch Bags.

  1. This is incredible. My daughter is a huge fan of horses and its kinds. Zebras a part of that. I have to keep this from her before she asks for a lunch like this. Awesome rendition :)

  2. WOW! The zebra stripes are amazingly precise. I am envious of your food painting talent. Beautiful lunch!
